When I bought my first house, I had no clue about asbestos. Luckily my home inspector knew all about it. He also used a pretty detailed home inspection checklist. We were really happy when we learned that our home did NOT contain asbestos, especially since it was built in 1959. Our home inspector said that it probably had been removed based on the remodeling that was done. I’m so glad I found your blog, consider me a new subscriber. It’s full of such informative info, and we are looking at buying a new home soon.
